Found a Personal Trainer

Dear Husband just said, "we should do this every night."

-We're watching baseball while sprawled out on the over-sized sofa with our laptops and flossing our teeth. I adore my husband.

I've been looking for a personal trainer. I went to my gym, but they were charging $50/hour and that's crazy in today's economy. There are PTs dripping off of Craigslist for half that price. I found one 15 miles away and contacted him. He's scheduled me for 5pm this Wednesday.

Now I'm nervous. He's a BIG, tough-looking 54-year-old who makes you fill in a medical consent form which prevents you or your family from suing him if he breaks or kills you.

I need the push, though. I started running again this year and in four months I've only lost 15 pounds. Yes, that's okay, but I need to do better. More strength training, more consistency, more nutritious and healthy food choices.

Really!? You've piqued my curiosity. My running shoes are getting pretty old and I may be in the market for a pair soon. They're the usual price for running shoes- did you get the stability ones?

I got the ones with the most stability as my feet are total shit. I can definately tell you that each level of stability is different. You should go to like.. foot locker or some place else that has all 4 levels and try each of them on. I cringed at the price but as of right now I feel they are worth it. Hopefully they have a decent life span.

Oh a word of warning about them.. no matter if you use that waterproofing spray on the shoes.. your feet WILL get wet if it's rainy or you run into a puddle. That's my only qualm about them. It makes me not feel comfortable wearing them to cycle down to the lake (not that I can do that now after all this rain took my trails away).

Most running shoes are not really waterproof. There's all that mesh so your feet can breathe... that's why I don't wear my running shoes for anything but running- that and the cost. They do tend to be a bit pricey and I want them to last as long as possible.

I'll see if they have them at Luke's Locker.

I actually think I might go running tomorrow for the first time since middle school. Depends on the weather.
