Session #1
May. 8th, 2009 05:33 pmI didn't cry, but I did throw up. Hahahaha. Well, not really, but about half way through our session, I started feeling really queasy and lightheaded. Mr. W, he of the enormous biceps, let me sit down and told me to Take My Time. As I was sitting there feeling all foggy I asked if anyone had ever thrown up in his studio and he said, "no, they've thrown up outside though."
"Take me outside,"
But he took me to the toilet instead while I waited to see if I was going to Toss My Cookies. Instead I just brought up a bunch of air. With my head in the toilet I said, "well, I guess I just needed to burp." He laughed and we went back in the studio. I walked around to kind of shake it off and he told me about blood sugar crashing and pushing outside comfort zones and all that while I started feeling not so foggy.
And then we went back at it. I'm quite certain I'm going to be a slobbering, quivering mass of human jelly tomorrow. Isn't that a lovely picture?
The whey protein shot I took after the workout was not as bad as I was expecting. It certainly wasn't good, but I didn't have to choke it down.
